”I am Nomlaki, Wailaki, Miwok, Maidu, Yuki, and Navajo. My Grandmama was Navajo, she lived in a hogan growing up and she raised my Mom in Nicaragua where my Grandfather worked. My name is Ya-nah and it was given to me by my Grandmama. Grandma June is my Dad's Mom. My Grandma June grew up in Colusa with her sister, Auntie Bea, and their mother grew up on the Buena Vista Rancheria before it was even bought for her family, the Olivers. I did not meet my Grandfather on my Dad's side of the family because he passed on before I was born, but I am enrolled with his tribe, the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians of Tahema County California."
